I found wireless broadband from 3 slow and their customer support absolutely disgraceful. Had broadband for a year and tried to cancel once the contract was up, they continued to charge me, I made several calls to try to get my money back and they eventually sent me a credit note- (even though they said they’d send me a cheque) which is useless to me as I can cancelled the service. You end up being called by guys from India with very poor english and very bad manners. I know several people who’ve had similar experiences. In summary I would not go near them for broadband.

I never do anything illegal with music, but I’m leaving eircom out of principal for doing this, it’s things like this that make this country so unbearable to live in.

I never in 20 years of business came across such a scam as this next generation broadband, I went from 3mb to 1mb and it was done without my concent, an hour holding three times , unreal, my o2 dongle is faster and better, Im moving from eircom and getting the new wifi modem from o2 and it even works out half the price, how sad is that

Recently (Sept.2010) travelled on Cork Dublin route Please note
1)Service not available on all trains-was not availavle on particular train used Cork Dublin-However 3 days later was available on Dublin -Cork.
2)Staff are no aware of which trains have it?
3)The service is only still on tial accordin to staff,and
4)Iarnrod charge for the service -think it was euro 1.50 an hour-approx.
5) Speed recorded by me was approx 1M down and pathetic up.

This will simply not work, good idea on paper but this has been already pilated in many countriies and states in the good old USA where as it simply wasnt effective.

Anyway, Eircom wanna get with the times, they cant be going around blocking sites like the pirate bay, this affects ‘the freedom of information act’, there in my books a cowboy ISP provider.
